#FractionalCTO#Leadership
Getting the job done is not enough.
Earlier in my career, I believed results justified everything. I later learned that real leadership means delivering the outcome while preserving trust, respect and relationships.
Projects come and go. Relationships compound over decades.
I’ve started sharing some of the lessons I’ve learned from more than 20 years of working across technology, business and leadership.
This first video explores a simple but important question:
Is technology a cost or an investment in your business?
I hope it provides value.
@BBL Smith is an elite performer, but untamed dominance needs checking. Yesterday set a wrong precedent for kids – borderline bullying: public frustration at Babar, denying a single, calling Power Surge solo.
Superiority ≠ entitlement. Short-term gains, long-term cultural damage.

@sbxr@FoxCricket@Uz_Khawaja@davidwarner31@stevesmith49 Excellent rational conversation, Steve. This is exactly what @Uz_Khawaja has tried to do with this interview piece, he is talking abt the whole system; not just the pro end. Unfortunately poor journalism demands off-point headlines that jeopardise the actual discussion
@sbxr@FoxCricket@Uz_Khawaja@davidwarner31@stevesmith49 ..rather than being threatened. We all have blind spots, Australian Cricket society has some blind spots too and we can improve the System and make it more “Fair” by becoming more empathetic, open to feedback and willing to Change.
@sbxr@FoxCricket@Uz_Khawaja@davidwarner31@stevesmith49 I hear what you are saying. The full message of @Uz_Khawaja, which can’t be understood from @FoxCricket headline alone, is that there is a lack of diversity in the Selection Board & CA Admin, perhaps ppl like him/others should now join them & help mitigate race bias to a degree
@sbxr@FoxCricket I’m strongly against any “Victim Mentality”. But I can empathise with how @Uz_Khawaja must have felt over the years when you get treated like this all the time compared to your peers. @sbxr you are my Hero, it hurts when I see you follow the bandwagon
@sbxr@FoxCricket@FoxCricket has picked a part of his sentence from his interview and published it as a headline to produce the exact reaction you are giving. @Uz_Khawaja talked about how “familiarity” plays a big role in talent wastage in the interview. 1/2
