GB News presenter @PatrickChristys and his heavily pregnant wife, fellow presenter Emily Carver, were forced to flee their home in London last year after British police warned that people-smuggling gangs he had exposed were seeking to seriously harm him.

Christys had traveled with a camera crew to Calais, northern France, to confront people smugglers after discovering that gangs openly advertised on TikTok before moving customers onto WhatsApp to discuss locations, departure times and prices. He says he confronted three smugglers in a matter of hours and received death threats.

After he returned to Britain, police arrived at his home and issued an official “threat to life” notice stating that members of organized immigration crime groups were seeking to “cause [him] significant harm.” Officers ordered the couple to immediately leave their flat, warned Christys not to use his car because it could potentially have been booby-trapped, and told them to take a cab to a safe location.

Police subsequently installed a panic alarm and advised Christys and Carver to disguise themselves when outside. Their son was born just weeks later.

Christys says that after leaving the hospital following his son's birth, he encountered a man he was “100% sure” was one of the traffickers he had exposed in Calais. The man approached him, stopped, and stared at him before walking away.
