I appreciate the respectful tone. From a Shia Muslim perspective, we absolutely believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus. We believe Jesus (ʿIsa) was divine and prophet of God, not God Himself.
The Qur’an says Jesus called people to worship the One God, not himself (Qur’an 3:51).
Imam Ali taught that God cannot be confined, embodied, or limited. He said: “He who assigns to Him an attribute has limited Him…” (Nahj al-Balagha). From a Shia Islamic perspective, God does not become flesh, does not suffer, and does not die. Jesus is a great prophet, but God remains absolutely One and transcendent.
We differ on salvation as well: in Islam, salvation comes through God’s mercy, faith, repentance, and righteous action — not inherited sin or a crucifixion.
I respect that we disagree, but from our belief, worshipping Jesus is not monotheism. We worship the same Creator Jesus worshipped.
@zacharyhunt90@FabiosoFabioso@Betar_USA Zachary you seem a lot older than me so I do hope you take the time to study but Allah is not an idol.
Imam Ali taught that Allah is One, indivisible, and beyond incarnation, so God does not become human. We honor Jesus, but we worship the One he himself worshipped.”
@ArenuiTamatoa@Betar_USA I’m just gonna take a wild guess on where u read these tafseers and hadiths. Was one of them sahih al bukhari because if so you should be ashamed of yourself for being so ignorant. No respect for a person who lacks proper knowledge.
I’ll gladly put you on a debate with me.
@ArenuiTamatoa@Betar_USA Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. It’s been practiced in places like New York, Florida, California and Illinois. Islam is a beautiful religion full of peace. Its people like you that looks at the actions of others and blows it out of perspective.
