جس قیمت پر بجلی آزاد کشمیر کے امیر لوگوں کو مل رہی ہے وہ نرخ پاکستان میں غریب ترین لوگوں کیلئے مختص ہیں جو 100 یونٹ یا ا�� سے کم بجلی استعمال کرتے ہیں، جواز کیا ہے؟ کہ پن بجلی آزاد کشمیر سے بھی پیدا ہوتی ہے (باقی جہاں سے ہوتی ہے وہاں تو اتنی رعایتی بجلی نہیں ملتی، باور رہے کہ منگلا ڈیم میں جن کی زمینیں آئیں انہیں برطانیہ میں آباد کیا گیا جو زمین چاہتے تھے انہیں پنجاب میں زمینیں الاٹ کی گئیں پھر بھی جتا رہے ہوتے ہیں) چلیں بجلی تو ادھر پیدا ہوتی ہے گندم نہیں لیکن گندم پر بھی سبسڈی اہل کشمیر کو دی جاتی ہے اور جِدھر گندم پیدا ہوتی ہے ادھر کسان رو رہا ہے کہ اسے امدادی قیمت نہیں دی جاتی لیکن جن کو سبسڈی ملتی ہے وہ بھی رو رہے ہیں، باور رہے کہ پورے کشمیر کی آبادی فیصل آباد شہر کے برابر ہے

میں ایک متعصب پنجابی ہوں

میں اتنا متعصب ہوں کہ سندھ کے رہائشی ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کو اپنے شہر لاہور سے اپنے کندھوں پر بٹھا کر اقتدار میں لاتا ہوں، میں ایک متعصب پنجابی ہوں جو بے نظیر بھٹو کو ضیاء الحق کے بعد لاہور ائیرپورٹ پر لاکھوں کی تعداد میں سر آنکھوں پر بٹھا کر لاتا ہوں۔ میں متعصب ہی ہوں جو دو تہائی اکثریت سے منتخب ہونے والے "پنجابی وزیر اعظم" کو ایک "مہاجر" جنرل پرویز مشرف حکومت سے نہ صرف بے دخل کرتا ہے بلکہ پورے خاندان کو ملک بدر کردیتا ہے۔ میں ایک متعصب پنجابی ہوں اس کا اندازہ اس بات سے لگا لیجئے کہ مہاجروں کا سب سے بڑا لیڈر "الطاف حسین" جب بھی پاکستان آنے کی خواہش کا اظہار کرتا ہے تو اپنے قدم لاہور کی زمین پر پہلے اتارنا چاہتا ہے۔ مجھے بلوچستان میں بے دردی سے مارا گیا پر حضور میرا تعصب تو دیکھئے کہ آج تک پنجاب کے کسی کونے کھدرے میں کسی بلوچی کو ایک خراش تک نہیں آئی۔
میں کراچی میں تیسری بڑی اکثریت ہوں پر میری کوئی نمائندہ جماعت نہیں، میں ایم کیو ایم میں بھی ہوں، میں پیپلز پارٹی و تحریک انصاف میں بھی ہو�� حتیٰ کہ میں اے این پی میں بھی ہوں۔ میرا تعصب ہی ہے جب میرے گھر میں میرا بچہ "اردو" بولتا ہے تو میں اس بات پر فخر کرتا ہوں۔ میں عمران خان کو لایا، ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کو لایا، بے نظیر بھٹو کو لایا۔ مشرف، ای��ب، یحییٰ اور ضیاء الحق کو بھی اپنی حمایت کا یقین دلایا، میرے صوبے کے دو سے تین ٹکڑے کرنے کی باتیں کراچی سے لے کر کشمور تک ہوئی پر میں پھر بھی خاموشی سے دیکھتا رہا کیوں کہ میں "متعصب پنجابی" تھا۔
پنجاب کو دو حصوں میں بانٹنے کی بات کرنے والی پیپلز پارٹی کا دفتر تو دور کوئی ایک جھنڈا بھی نہیں جلایا، لاہور، فیصل آباد، اٹک، سیالکوٹ، اور ہاں راولپنڈی میں پختون اور مہاجر بھائیوں کی اکثریت ہے پر وہاں کبھی کسی کو اسکی زبان کی بنیاد پر طعنہ نہیں مارا، اٹک میں لگنے والی "گوندل منڈی" ہوتی ہی پختون بھائیوں کے لئے ہے وہاں آج تک کسی تاجر کو خراش تو دور کی بات گھور کر بھی نہیں دیکھا۔ لیکن ہاں میں ایک متعصب پنجابی ہوں، باجوڑ مدرسے پر حملہ ہو یا پشاور کے اسکول پر دہشتگردوں کی کاروائی میرے غم کی چیخیں سب سے زیادہ بلند تھیں، میرے بازاروں میں خود کش حملے ہوئے ہوں یا مسجدوں میں دھماکے میں نے آنسو تو بہائے پر کبھی حملہ آ��ر کی ذات و قوم نہیں پوچھی۔
آپکو پتہ ہے میں متعصب کیوں ہوں؟
کیوں کہ میں پہلے مسلمان اور پھر پاکستانی ہوں اور پاکستان کے قیام سے لے کر اب تک میں بس یہی ثابت کرنے کی کوشش میں لگا ہوا ہوں کہ مجھے پاکستان میں بسنے والے ہر شخص سے پیار ہے، اور اب تک میں یقین دلانے میں ناکام رہا ہوں، کسی کی بھینس مرے یا کتا، کسی کی فصل ڈوبے یا رات کی نیند ٹوٹے قصور بس میرا ہی ہے کیوں کہ میں ایک "متعصب پنجابی ہوں"

To civil society, journalists, and state officials:

I am writing as a grieving wife, seeking the immediate and lawful release of my husband, Muhammad Saad.

At approximately 3:30 AM this Monday, 12–13 masked men with guns forcibly entered our home and took him away without presenting any warrant or lawful authority. This was an unlawful deprivation of liberty and a direct violation of due process.

Only after legal pressure did personnel within CTD register an FIR on laughable grounds. This post facto action raises serious concerns of mala fide intent and abuse of process, where the law is invoked after the fact to justify an illegal act.

Saad is a journalist, researcher, and Political Science scholar. His work engages with complex subjects, including Balochistan, Kashmir, and international affairs. He has interviewed recognised public figures such as Former Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar, as well as senior journalists Sohail Warraich and Hamid Mir, and has introduced major international voices to Pakistan’s media space.

More importantly, Saad has worked with state institutions when called upon, contributing to areas aligned with the national interest. He was vetted, cleared, and entrusted by the State. Today, that same individual is being subjected to coercive action by its functionaries.

This contradiction is not incidental but structural.

If individuals who have been vetted and trusted by the state can be subjected to arbitrary detention and retrospective criminalisation, then the question is unavoidable: on what basis does the state expect trust from its citizens?

The actions of certain personnel within CTD constitute a clear overreach of authority. Powers granted for public safety cannot be exercised in violation of constitutional safeguards, including the inviolability of the home and the right to due process. The law does not permit enforced taking into custody followed by procedural reconstruction.

Saad has never engaged with any proscribed material nor been involved in any unlawful activity. His life and work have remained within the bounds of law and intellectual inquiry.

I call upon civil society, the media, and responsible state authorities to take immediate cognisance of this case. Ensure due process. Examine the legality of the initial detention. Hold those responsible accountable. And ensure his safe and immediate release.

This is not just about one individual. It is about law and dignity. It is about giving hope to others who have worked for the state and Pakistan whenever called upon, who have trusted the state against all odds. This youth must be protected and safeguarded within a shrinking demographic that believe in state and that is increasingly disillusioned and disenfranchised.
