Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata says listing Tata Sons will destroy the group’s unique character built over 100 years. The group was created for national service, not just profit. Majority owner is a charity that funds hospitals, universities and research from dividends.
Tata Sons board and Trusts have unanimously decided it should remain unlisted. All options will now be explored after RBI communication.
