Break the hash. Launch the market. Explore cryptographic breakthroughs, track AI research at the frontier, and launch real Solana markets on Pumpfun or Meteora
@Zcash@zooko what would make a cryptography research dashboard genuinely useful to the ZEC community?
We built HASHFRONT to explore hash-breaking research, compare results, and trace the evidence, inspired by Yukon / HashSmash.

Less navigation. More exploration.
Find a hash family or jump straight into a protocol-specific launch flow with HASHFRONT’s command search.
The next action is a few keystrokes away.
Go deeper into the hash family matrix.
Open an algorithm, inspect its frontier, and narrow the view to a specific round. HASHFRONT keeps different cryptographic constructions in context.
Zcash node connectivity is live on HASHFRONT 🛡️
Connect your Zcash node and monitor block height, sync progress, peers & node software or explore through our shared public endpoint.
@Zcash@zooko, node runners: what should we add next, sync alerts or multi-node monitoring?

Your node. Your view of Zcash. 🛡️
Connect a compatible mainnet endpoint to HASHFRONT with access-token or username/password authentication or use our shared node.
Check sync, peers & node software in one place.

Research deserves context.
Switch chart views, filter hash families, search submissions, and open the proof inspector to examine the source behind a result.
HASHFRONT keeps evidence close to the claim.
Give your idea a market.
Choose Pumpfun or Meteora, define the token identity, and configure its research association and launch settings.
Your wallet stays in control. HASHFRONT handles the setup.
Support a project. Keep the payment shielded. 🛡️
HASHFRONT now has $ZEC support links with QR codes, optional memos & wallet opening.

SHA-256 and SHA3-256 pursue the same goal through very different internal structures. Their research frontiers deserve to be read differently, too.
SHA-256 builds on an ARX-style compression function: modular addition, rotations, shifts, and Boolean operations. Reduced-round cryptanalysis examines how differences propagate through that structure and whether researchers can exploit relationships before additional rounds destroy them.
SHA3-256 uses Keccak’s sponge construction. Its permutation combines linear diffusion with nonlinear operations across a structured state. The relevant attack techniques, round conventions, and assumptions differ from those used against SHA-256.
That makes “rounds attacked” an incomplete comparison.
A meaningful result needs context: the attack objective, starting-state assumptions, time complexity, memory requirements, and whether the evidence supports the claimed cost.
HASHFRONT brings those dimensions into one research interface. Explore round-versus-cost frontiers, inspect individual submissions, and follow the original evidence.
Our time–memory view uses:
log₂(T × M′), where M′ = max(1, memory / 1 MiB)
This exposes tradeoffs that a round-count headline can hide. It still needs to be interpreted within the benchmark’s assumptions.
Reduced-round progress helps map a construction’s security margin. It does not, by itself, establish a practical break of the full hash.
