I have just spoken to my great uncle, Afande Saleh, he asked me to forgive Otafiire. I told Afande Saleh, that we are TIRED of unemployed bagurusi who spend their time abusing us. We are going to deal with this issue once and for all!
Ugandaโs security forces exist to protect citizens, not to silence those who report abuses against political opponents. Accountability is not betrayal. Threats against whistleblowers are.
So your strategy is tht u know the corrupt officials but only call them out when you disagree with them, but when they are on ur side they are untouchable unless they differ from you guys? We can see tht with th Nelson guy,as long as he endorsed ur boss, heโs immune to corruption
Kahinda Otafiire: A Protected land grabber.
When you see a minister repeatedly associated with controversial land deals, there is a serious problem. The greatest ministers I know are those who serve the people and deliver services without taking advantage of their positions to acquire peopleโs properties.
Here are some of the major land controversies involving Gen. Kahinda Otafiire;
1. Njeru Government Stock Farm, 2019
Otafiire acquired 50 acres of the Njeru Government Stock Farm, a matter that attracted controversy over the ownership and acquisition of the land.
2. Nyenda Island 2018
Businesswoman Jane Ssenfuka and her daughter, Katrina Nanfuka, petitioned the Land Commission after ownership of Nyenda Island was transferred from their company, Janmer Investments Ltd, to Otafiire. They maintained that the transfer was fraudulent.๐ข
3. The 9-acre Munyonyo land dispute
Otafiire and businessman Amdan Khan became involved in a dispute over nine acres of land in Munyonyo. Khan maintained that he had longstanding ownership of the land, while Otafiire said he had purchased it in 2011 from Christopher Obey which was not true.
4. The Jonathan Tibisaasa case , Upper Kololo
Former Commissioner for Land Registration Jonathan Tibisaasa testified that, while Otafiire was Minister of Land, water and environment in 2005, he was pressured to process a title for two acres of land in Upper Kololo in Otafiireโs name. Tibisaasa petitioned the High Court that he had been interdicted in 2005 after refusing demands from Otafiire. Otafiire wanted Tibisaasa to process a title for two acres of land in Upper Kololo in Otafiireโs name. Tibisaasa also said that, about a week before his interdiction, Otafiire called him and said there was โno room for bishops in his ministry.๐
5. CID headquarters land in Kibuli
Recently, Otafiire became involved in the controversy surrounding the CID headquarters land in Kibuli, with the dispute unfolding publicly and in full view of the cameras. Imagine attempting to steal police land, No shame!!!๐
And now, after all these criminal cases, Otafiire has the audacity to lecture the Generals of the mighty UPDF.๐ซข
Ugandans deserve leaders who uphold the law and put service delivery above personal interests.
@TheGoldenHun@lulanzeashirafu I believe those guys were not his friends, they just held certain positions in society that gave them access to the late King Oyo. Some of them claimed the late king was their friend just for the sake of it,just for show.
You guys were questioning whether the baby kingโs mother is a mutooro, but now youโre ready to compromise. And you call yourself a friend of the late King Oyo.
I truly look forward to getting audience with Orukurato to seek consensus to remove the barrier to her children (if any) ascending the throne.
Abaana bโenju baana bโengoma. The implication is that all children married to Batooro are Batooro and nothing else. We must progress
@HonKyeyune@mkainerugaba Ministers in Uganda are public servants answerable to the people and the Constitution, not to any individual. This kind of order undermines institutional order and the principle that government exists to serve Ugandans, not private authority.
@mkainerugaba Since when did ministers start getting clearance from the CDF? Last I checked the constitution says something else.
Hon. Kasolo reports to the president, not you. Let's respect the chain of command.
This country is not a barracks.
The organization which is run by one person who makes every decision and issues every directive usually collapses after the death of its leader. ODM died with Baba,NRM will eventually collapse after President Museveni leaves.
The late King Oyo was disrespected by his frnds, and Queen Best was also disrespected, but u remained silent. Now youโre coming out 2 defend th new king, whch is not a bad thing, but at least speak up and call out the people who disrespected th king who appt u and believed in you
ABANTU BATOORO, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
TWASWARA!
There comes a time when we must pause and ask ourselves: what kind of Tooro do we desire?
You cannot say you love the baby and then throw it away with the dirty water. Right now, we are doing exactly that, dragging the Tooro we claim to love down the drain.
We are a proud people with norms and traditions that teach us dignity, restraint and respect. Baragirakiki reminds us that even in difficult times, we can conduct ourselves with discipline and decorum.
Right now, we are falling short.
Tutajura ekikaali!
Let us self-regulate. Share less of what embarrasses the institution. Resist heated narratives. Comment less, listen more and lower the temperature.
We are not opposing teams.
There is only one team: TEAM TOORO.
Let us never sacrifice our culture, values and customs at the altar of social media likes and petty divisions. Our disagreements must never become greater than our love for Tooro.
Let history remember us not for the noise we made, but for the wisdom we showed when Tooro needed us most.
And right now, the call is clear: let us rally behind our new King and unite around Kujumura Empango on 29th September.
Let all our energy, goodwill and efforts go towards making it a success and marking this new chapter with the dignity, unity and respect it deserves.
Let us also stop speculating about positions and titles. His Majesty the King will make those decisions, in his wisdom and at the appropriate time. Let us give him that space and respect the Crown.
IN ALL, TOORO COMES FIRST.
#TeamTooro
