Learning, failing, still failing. Passionate about building up African entrepreneurship ecosystems locally & globally #startups#sme#blockchain#NoBorders
Enjoying #Nairobi#Kenya .. it has been 26 years since I left Kenya / Africa. I will always love Cambridge, my fave city in the world π but with the rising cost of living, it's not feasible to be an entrepreneur wit/out working.
Time to come back home soon forππ― #africa
Mesh networks intrane.. local currency, education and connectivity for towns in villages removes barriers of control by Telcoms, banks/govts who have monopoly
Nairobi has everything. @ Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi Town district. I don't want to come back to the states. Kenya π°πͺ where my father was laid to rest last month, Allah yarhama, very interested in moving here in near future. We will see inshallah π #NextChapter#Destiny
..Africa is not a country. Every country and every region of every country thinks and behaves differently. #BTC is revolutionary but it's no longer a viable option for Africa in my opinion, maybe for a few, but still G's & B's can shut u down easy / no alternative cash outs.
Nigeria bans #Bitcoin & crypto. In my opinion 4 Most of Africa it's too late to own crypto as an asset. We are playing catch up once again whilst other countries have thrived from mining to owning & now taxing gains. System isn't broken, it's designed this way to keep rich richer
decentralization. For Africa we need stable coins as a start.. every1 seems to think Africa is a playground & they will accept new tech faster b/c they see mpesa, etc.. but fail to understand mobile money are owned by telcos & ppl have no choice but to accept w/evrr they roll out
In Nairobi in the craziest busiest informal sector hub, The Eastleigh area aka Little Mogadishu but will explore other parts soon.. Lots of hawkers and hustlers.. At 10pm everything shut down for lockdown #nairobikenya
