I am deeply concerned to learn that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Dr. Abdul Razzaq, along with the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Director, and several of their colleagues, who were traveling from Gwadar to Quetta, have reportedly been abducted near Mastung.

I respectfully urge the Honorable Governor of Balochistan and the Honorable Chief Minister of Balochistan (@PakSarfrazbugti, @dpr_gob) to take immediate and effective measures to ensure their safe and prompt recovery. It is profoundly alarming that the head of a university, along with members of his academic team, has gone missing under such circumstances.

This is not only a matter of grave concern for the higher education sector but also deeply distressing for the entire academic community. I sincerely appeal to the relevant authorities to extend all possible support and prioritize urgent action in this matter.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected colleagues and their families, and we hope for their safe return at the earliest.
