Happy 75th birthday to Ben Dronkers, founder of Sensi Smile coffeeshops, @SensiSeeds, @hashmuseum Amsterdam & Barcelona and Hempflax and supporter of @vocnederland since our inception!
Dries van Agt (1931 - 2024). Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 1977 to 1982. A charismatic and controversial politician, Dries van Agt is the man responsible for the Dutch Cannabis tolerance policy (‘gedoogbeleid’). This act paved the way for cannabis decriminalization. 💚
Back to Amsterdam 🚆 @thisismaryjane_ takes a nostalgia-fueled trip to Netherlands’ capital and cozy's up to the fabled weed city. Here's how it went.

On the occasion of our exhibition #WeareMaryJane. #WomenOfCannabis in 2018-19 we collaborated with the photographer #MariaCavali. Her series of portraits of female cannabis smokers in their favourite coffee shop paid tribute to the diversity of Amsterdam's cannabis culture.
We have great news! From tomorrow, Wednesday 25 January, we can open our doors again. You are welcome between 10AM-6PM. For your safety, we still have to limit the number of people that can enter, so we encourage you to book your tickets online. We look forward to seeing you!
This huge landscape (93 x 120,5 centimeters) is one of the major acquisitions of our director #BenDronkers. You can see it in the @HempMuseumBCN. The painter #HermanSaftleven, lived in times when #industrialhemp was widely cultivated in various regions of the Netherlands.
The cannabis strain Skunk was developed in America in the 1970s and made its way to Europe in the 1980s. We didn't want to deprive you of this Polaroid from our #museumarchive with cannabis pioneer #BenDronkers, especially during the season when you stumble over Christmas trees!
Unfortunately we have to close the museum immediately until January 14. Please let us know through [email protected] if you have any questions about your reservation in this period. We will keep you posted on any new developments, and hope to see you in the new year. ❤️
Our museum is open every day from 10AM to 5PM, even during the holidays. Visit us during the winter vacation! Take the audiotour or just come in and discover our collection at your leisure. Tickets on the website: https://t.co/gBEuLITJYA or on the door. #HMHM#MuseumAmsterdam
This image was published in 1877 in A History of the Vegetable Kingdom by William Rhind. In our museum you can view a beautiful collection of cannabis prints. Check out our website to see some nice examples: https://t.co/Nif9gpG0Yy #cannabisprints#museumamsterdam#HMHM
A peaceful image of a relaxed group of chique women right? This was captioned 'Hasheesh Hell' in the Illustrated Police News in 1876 and is now part of our museum collection. Find out more at our website https://t.co/b7MCugW84d #hasheeshhell#hashmarihuanahempmuseum#HMHM
