Effective starting today I'll put a pause to #100DaysofEngineering to prepare for my final year exam and get done with my project which is due in 2 weeks time. This exams are important to me since they mark an end to something I thought would never end. One day I'll tell you how I ended up spending 6 years doing a non-medical degree😅
🚀🧑💻On day 23 of my #100DaysofEngineering journey, I have gone through Domain Name Systems (DNS), IPs, domain registers, and various types of domains. DNS is used across the internet and various computer networks to translate human-readable domain names into numerical IP addresses. Some key areas where DNS is commonly used include: Internet, Local networks, Intranets, Email systems, Voice over IP (VoIP) services, File sharing systems, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Domain registration services, and Cloud computing platforms.
Amazon Route 53 is a cloud-based DNS service. It helps manage domain names and offers record sets to specify different types of information about a domain.
Routing policies include: weighted routing, latency-based routing, failover routing, geological routing, and geoproximity routing. These policies are useful for directing internet traffic efficiently. Weighted routing lets us proportionally distribute traffic, and latency-based routing optimizes user experience by choosing servers with the lowest latency.
Failover routing ensures continuous service availability by managing server failures, and geological routing considers location-specific needs. Multivalue answer policies and health checks contribute to improved reliability and load balancing. Alongside these, I've encountered Route 53 Resolver, a tool for DNS resolution within Amazon VPCs.
On day 22 of #100DaysofEngineering , I got myself in practical applications of Amazon Cognito Citation and the Amazon Command Line Interface (CLI).
Cognito User Pools, a key component, are applied in scenarios demanding seamless user authentication and registration for AWS applications. Its use case extends to secure user identity management, facilitating a smooth onboarding process for users.
Cognito Identity Pools, or Federated Identities, are invaluable for integrating external identity providers. In practice, this enables users to log in using their preferred social media accounts, offering a versatile solution for identity management across diverse platforms.
Cognito Sync, within Cognito, demonstrates its utility in scenarios requiring synchronized user data across devices. It ensures a cohesive user experience, particularly beneficial when users transition between various platforms.
The Amazon CLI comes out as a potent tool for automating AWS operations. Its use cases span resource management, application deployment, and task automation, empowering users to streamline workflows efficiently.
In parallel, Software Development Kits (SDKs) show their value by simplifying AWS service integration into applications. Developers leverage SDKs to seamlessly incorporate AWS functionalities, enhancing the efficiency of application development.
All these are significant in crafting secure, scalable, and user-friendly cloud-based solutions.
On Day 20 of #100DaysOfEngineering I paused my regular tailored curriculum to explore Apache Airflow in readiness for tomorrow's hackathon. Here are a few things to note.
📍Apache Airflow is an open-source platform designed for orchestrating complex workflows, offering a flexible and scalable solution for data engineering, machine learning, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
📍What sets Airflow apart is its DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) structure, allowing users to define and visualize the flow of tasks in their workflow.
Some use cases are:
1. Workflow Automation: automating repetitive tasks and managing dependencies between them, ensuring seamless execution of workflows.
2. Dynamic DAGs: The ability to dynamically generate DAGs based on parameters or external triggers provides a high level of flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
3. Extensibility: Airflow supports a wide range of integrations, making it compatible with various data storage solutions, databases, and cloud platforms.
4. Monitoring and Logging: Robust monitoring features enable real-time tracking of task execution, allowing for efficient troubleshooting and performance optimization.
☑️I can confirm that I'm now familiar with DAGs, operators, and the overall architecture. Hopefully this helps!

Signed up for a Hackathon and chose a project that uses Apache Airflow for orchestration as I continue with #100DaysofDataEngineering. Never used Airflow before lakini pia sieziingia kama niko grey😂

On day 16 of #100DaysofEngineering, I was MIA due to some physical engagements I had till late in the night. Luckily enough this weeks course content is all about AWS.
On day 17, I have managed to go through
📌S3 buckets, Storage classes, A comparison of the storage classes, and various features of S3. Hoping to cover more tomorrow🙏

We had class 2day and I was hearing the famous JavaScript in another Concepts like Hoisting, closure. N I was like tinz like this exist wow😳 the instructor did an amazing wrk explaining n d class was interactive. @master_backend @Kaperskyguru #100daysofengineering

I'm finally on my journey to being a full stack developer, have been learning front end since n nw I found a community @master_backend that is beginners friendly, their goal to make u a great backend developer. We had classes n it was awesome @Kaperskyguru #100daysofengineering

On the #100daysofengineering with @Kaperskyguru and @master_backend, I learned that I could actually add an entire GitHub to origin and access each repo from bash terminal instead of adding single repos using add origin url.
Yeeeh! #100daysofengineering. Kick start yesterday and the onboarding session is really awesome.
Thanks @master_backend and @kaperskyguru, for organizing this program.
Day 1 of #100DaysOfEngineering
To master backend engineering, I'm starting #100DaysOfEngineering led by @master_backend.
Today, we had an introductory class with @Kaperskyguru and his team.
I hope to grow and master the backend side during this challenge.
It surely gets better

Day 16 and Day 17
Dis the Datacom test today, hell😂, never fine with that lecurer🙌
Started on Asynchronous Javascript....
Made a technical outline on frontend deployment...

Today I didn't carry spects to class😂😂😂, it was hell for me
Attended Electricity and Magnetism class plus the one for Datacom as well. For Software Engineering, lecturer didn't turn up though I went forward and read about Software Testing.
For #100DaysOfEngineering
Today studied the counting sort, merge sort, and heap sort which were as a class presentation by different classmates. Also studied electric flux, faraday's experiment and gauss law.
Day 6 and 7, all shall be posted out today...
The article is as well in its final stages, follow and grow along.
It could be published today and shared here as well. Thanks🙏
