1. Nepali Army led rescue mission continued. Precautionary measures enforced. Nepali Police and other LEAs are getting back in action to restore their offices/posts. Violence following Gen Z Protest has jolted Nepal.
Precious 34 lives, Nepal’s future lost for the cause.
2. Gen Z continued to engage with leaders whom they considered representative to engage with Nepali Army towards interim government formation. They are firm in their demands but there is a surge of messages from mainstream parties to Gen Z.
3. One of the prime demand of Gen Z is end of the system that nurtured corruption and corrupt leaders whose misgovernment thrived. They have demanded dissolution of parliament and certain amendments to existing constitution.
3. Head of State’s engagement with country in crisis considered as the weakest link in last 72 hours. The President has neither stepped down nor addressed the nation. There is allegedly one message on an unofficial letterhead (cam scanner doc) made to look like from the President of Nepal circulating in social media wherein it is appealed to Gen Z to help restore peace and move forward within the existing constitutional framework
When all the official communication by departments as Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Supreme Court of Nepal is on official letterhead, it raises question on the legitimacy of the alleged letter from the President who hasn’t engaged directly despite several social media requests.
4. In last 24 hours, in contrary to Gen Z demands, there is a surge of opinions/ PR campaign “Save 2015 Constitution’. Mainstream political parties and intellectual group engaged on Social Media with their pitch to ‘save constitution’.

6. Conspiracy theories by some of the International Media and IR Analysts/Observers show that it is long way to go to understand Nepal.
7. Nepal Tourism Board with support of Nepali Army and others, continued to provide tourist a safe exit out of the country. During last 72 hours, there is no update it any foreign state or donor support of vehicle/emergency rescue support has been asked for.
8. Civil society and communities are still in shock.
9. One of the biggest challenge the society faces is 7000 inmates out in open. Former Senior Police Officials have warned of escalation in incidents of looting, theft and other crimes.
10. With every hour slipping away in Interim Government formation, it is a litmus test for the Gen Z where are they headed on own terms, free of coercion, societal and political parties pressure.

1. Nepal Army moved in full steam to prevent further damage, hunted the miscreants, recovered significant arms and ammunition and cash from different parts of the country. The hunt for criminals who torched and looted continues. Death toll rises to 30.
