I declared 2023 the Year of Mental Health to bring action and attention to the challenges facing our communities, and we've been glad to support efforts to expand access to mental healthcare and encourage folks to take good care of themselves and each other.

This year, our child care industry was facing an imminent collapse, so I directed $170 million in emergency stopgap funding to stabilize the industry, help providers keep the doors open, and support working families through June of 2025.

We've made smart investments to address workforce challenges, expand access to worker training and apprenticeship, and reduce barriers to work across the state.
And this year, we celebrated record-low unemployment and record high workforce participation. #12DaysofWisconsin
From launching my Green Ribbon Commission on Clean Energy and Environmental Innovation to being ranked in the top ten states for energy efficiency, we used this year to address the climate crisis and build the sustainable future we want for our kids and state. #12DaysofWisconsin
We're proud to be "America's Dairyland," and this year, I was proud to sign a budget that builds on our work to support Wisconsin dairy and agriculture by investing in our supply chains, mental health for our farmers, and producer-led conservation efforts.
