Had his attorney filed the appropriate appeals at state level, Rocky would have been able to pursue claims in federal court that his conviction and death sentence, which was ordered by a circuit judge's override, were unjust. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpUsHelpRocky @chrissyteigen
Because Rocky’s counsel abandoned him in the midst of his post-conviction proceedings, his claims of innocence and intellectual disability have never been fully addressed by any court. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpUsHelpRocky @chrissyteigen @soledadobrien

Evidence supports that each person who testified against Mr. Myers lied under oath, and some have even admitted this. The conflicting evidence in such a case did not stop the judge from ruling that Mr. Myers be put to death. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpushelpRocky @chrissyteigen
Judicial override requires a judge to demonstrate 'significant reasons for why he or she is choosing to override the jury's decision.' The judge in Mr. Myers’ case did not. Watch to learn more. https://t.co/r8CY1xirmq

No forensic evidence supports the case of Mr. Myers' guilt, but he was charged with capital murder. With conflicting evidence, a jury was unable to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Still he awaits the death penalty. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpushelpRocky @chrissyteigen

"I don't think that Mr. Myers should be executed for something that I said... I didn't know for sure because I didn't see the face. I just don't think it's right, and I do apologize." -Marzell Ewing, prosecution witness #146DaysofPersistence #HelpushelpRocky @chrissyteigen
3 witness accounts suggest Anthony Balentine, the original suspect, committed the stabbing. Balentine's statements denying accusations have been determined false, and those who named Mr. Myers have retracted their statements. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpushelpRocky @chrissyteigen
Mr. Myers was not the original suspect. He was only arrested after "witnesses," who both worked for the father of the previously accused, came forward with accusations against him. They have since recanted their stories. #146DaysofPersistence #HelpushelpRocky @chrissyteigen
