Here's a thread of various thoughts from the 2018 Society for Developmental Biology meeting last week. #2018SDB @___SDB___
After an incredible #2018SDB, I spent a night where our hotel invited us to draw on our doors with chalk. Commemorating the occasion, I drew the three models I've used to study embryonic cell migration! Thank you, @___SDB___, and everyone that makes my job the best in the world!

#2018SDB Favorites *IMHO

poster: beautiful work from Sergio Simoes & Uli (he just cranks- hiring? check S. out!)
coffee: 40lbs (? -optimal pressure to tamp grounds, Tim may disagree!)
food: love those food carts, chilaquiles!!
“breakfast”: Blue Star, wow

One cool aspect of the sharing economy: The Lyft driving that took me to PDX was super excited to tell me about all of the Developmental Biology he learned while driving around scientists all weekend! @___SDB___ #2018SDB
Congratulations to Amber Rock @whitney_lab @NSF REU student and @___SDB___ "Choose Development!" fellow for winning first prize at the undergraduate poster session #2018SDB for her work on Hox genes in the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis. https://t.co/F06kUpAmod
