I am surprised the storage room described in this @washingtonpost story was reportedly dug after Trump purchased the property. In researching my #2020Commission novel, I learned Marjorie Merriweather Post was a civil defense nut who had three bomb shelters built at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump also says Biden should ratchet up rhetoric about using nuclear weapons against Russia if they don't back down, rather than talk about deescalating and avoiding war.

One of the themes of the #2020Commission was that it’s very hard to manage a serious crisis when you are more worried about your domestic political criticis think than what your international adversary does.

@aaronbateman22 You see this in other warning failures, whether Pearl Harbor or September 11th. Policymaker priors were too strong for the warning to be correctly perceived. This is a point I made in my novel, the #2020Commission.
Also, Kim Jong Un made it clear that tactical nuclear weapons are a growing focus for North Korea. It would be nice if we made some effort to head off the development of those systems. Unless you found The #2020Commission uplifting...

I am not writing a sequel to The #2020Commission, but if I were ... the opening scene would be Trump, standing next to Kim and clapping like a delighted toddler, while below them ever larger North Korean ICBMs on parade rolled by, one after another.
I suggest a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the United States...like North Korea.
