That homebrew Damson jam came in handy! Bit of a bodge up but needs must. Initial testing with 3w-4w drive pegs the 200w meter at about 9 amps and 48v. Running super cool too. I need a high power directional coupler.... #23cms #eme #W6PQL more pallet cooling to go into the lid.

Dish update Day 11: The results are in. Map of 23 cm eme QSOs over the weekend with the new dish. (I missed the first moon window). 63 initial contacts and 70 qso. 5 continents. Random CW to DU and KL. I'm absolutely blown away... 😀 #Ghz_bands #cloudlog #23cms #eme #g0lbk

In last nights ukac contest I concentrated on "dx" on 23 as an alternative strategy. It was great fun and I was lucky enough to bag SM6 (599 both ways). I'm starting to like this lowly location. #23cms #GHz_bands 100w, Homebrew 1.8m dish and feed at 15m agl.

#23cms #UKAC #rsgb contest last Tuesday 100 QSO in 2.5 hours for G0LBK/P. Quite pleased with that , especially when I only had kst for the last 30mins. Currently #2 in the AR claimed scores behind the mighty G4CLA :)

Ring feed for the 1.8m dish tropo system. Nano vna shows good return loss after careful trimming. Hopefully it won't be too bad in front of the dish.. #23cms #Ghz_bands

I finally got round to building my 23cms @dxing vlna. I've never soldered such small smd stuff before (I bet it looks terrible under a microscope). It actually works too!! which is a bonus #23cms #ghz_bands

After quite a lot of work, the new dish hub, and GRP feedarm are complete. The hub fits the slew like glove and I'm happy with my septum mount which isn't really a mount at all! #Ghz_bands #23cms #eme

I wanted a more elegant and easily adjustable feed mount. Idea to use a GRP pole with "machined slot". More inappropriate tool use. Rip saw turned circular saw. Fits perfectly! Progess. #GHZ_bands #eme #23cms #dishbuild
