🚨 Karoline Leavitt says "deranged individuals" are vandalizing Trump's blue Reflecting Pool. But let's remember how this story started. Not with vandals. With a $13-15 MILLION no-bid contract. The Trump administration used an emergency procurement exemption normally reserved for situations where delaying action would cause "serious injury" to the government. To repaint a reflecting pool. The contract went to a company that had previously worked on one of Trump's golf properties. Now the coating is peeling. Algae is blooming. The pool may need to be drained again. And suddenly we're being told the real problem is a handful of arrests. Including a 67-year-old former Olympian accused of pulling at loose, already-peeling material. Notice what's happening. The people who bypassed competitive bidding are talking about lawbreaking. The people who rushed the project are talking about responsibility. The people defending a failing renovation are talking about vandalism. If the work was sound, the story would be the success. Instead, the story has become the villains. When governments start blaming critics for failures that appeared after they bypassed the safeguards, the question isn't who touched the paint. The question is why the safeguards were removed in the first place.

The White House is now pushing a “vandals with knives” story to explain Trump’s reflecting-pool fiasco. Okay. Then show the footage. Show the evidence. Show the incident report. Show the arrests. Until they do, this looks like what it probably is: another fabricated cover story for another taxpayer-funded Trump vanity disaster.
