This is about the best case I’ve heard for staying in the SBC & it just reeks of pride, piety and stubbornness.

Staying in the SBC isn’t courageous. You’re not a hero. You’re LARPing as heroes from the movies you watched as a kid.
What’s courageous is to follow #2Cor6 and break association with darkness despite your affinity for tradition and all the friends, connections and fond memories God graced you with during your time as a Southern Baptist.
Be a hero to your local church back home and lead the exodus out of this wicked affiliation.

I don't believe for a second that SBC messengers who had just voted 90% to disfellowship Saddleback thought that "broadly representative" would include a pastor who voted to keep Saddleback.
I do suspect that was the intention all along of the leaders who brought the motion.
1. The SBC is not a denomination.
2. It’s not even necessary.
3. In fact, it is a net detriment to the Church.
4. #BeBiblical, follow #2Cor6 & #LeaveItToTheGoats.
5. Be #BaptistNotSouthernBaptist.
“As goes the SBC, so goes America” is a lie from Hell. Don’t believe it!
Do not be unequally yoked (in cooperation with) unbelievers. Come out from among them and be separate. What fellowship does light have with darkness?
There is no asterisk beside #2Cor6 that says “unless it means losing your all your stuff.”
