I stood up & wiped the dirt from my hands onto my khakis. I had dug a shallow grave.
Frustrated, I was helpless to stop the tears.
Why did I keep doing this?
Fall in love, kill the poor woman, bury her, than feel regret. Would this unholy cycle ever end?
So much variety & unpredictability. Sometimes, it's cold & wet. Other times, it's hot & wet. But eventually, it will be hot & dry. That's my least favorite, the one I dread, what I hate most. Still, I stand straight, gather my courage, & start folding clothes anyway.
