Those were the innocent #HappyDays of firearm naivetรฉ when the sight of a publicly armed civilian caused fear & nervousness.
America is undergoing a great reckoning. Glaring back at us, whether viewed from #GunViolence (police & public), #BlackLivesMatter or general
#SystemicRacism, is that we're a trigger-happy nation awash w/guns.
So what benefit accrues to us from guns & our vague, archaic #2ndAMD?
And what was their motive for so rashly declaring this to be a murder? Several of them have faced these situations before and have absolutely no excuse. We will not have a #2ndAmd if we throw our efforts and support behind people who will stab us in the back with media narrative.
Remember that time the same #GunRights #2ndAmd conservatives in the media - who got support from gun owners when they were attacked by the left - didn't wait for all the facts to come out and called two white men "murderers" for shooting an unarmed black man - who attacked them?
