Day 30 of learning backend basics.
Today is the last day of my challenge, unlike the other days of my challenge, I'm posed with the question :
If your backend suddenly becomes slow in production, what are the possible causes and how would you investigate them ?
and the CORRECT answer is :
If a backend becomes slow in production, possible causes include traffic spikes or attacks, database bottlenecks, resource exhaustion, external service delays, or infrastructure limits. I would investigate by checking logs, monitoring CPU and memory usage, analyzing database query performance, and inspecting request patterns to identify the bottleneck.
Resources used : nil, just knowledge gained over the last 30 days.

Day 29 of learning backend fundamentals.
Today I learnt about RATE LIMITING, why it’s done and its importance in protecting the backend and the API.
Among its importance is that :
- Prevents Abuse & Attacks by preventing brute force login attacks.
- Protects Server Resources by keeping the requests between what the CPU and memory can maintain.

Three types: Type selectors (target all elements), descendant selectors (style nested elements), and class selectors (reusable with class).

Day 28 of learning backend fundamentals.
Today, I revisited the different http response and their meaning. I also covered principles of API design.
Here are some of the response codes and what they mean :
200 → Success
201 → Resource created
400 → Client error (bad input)
401 → Not authenticated
403 → Not authorized
404 → Not found
500 → Server error
A good revision helps keeps knowledge intact.

It is considered as good backend architecture because it allows for :

•Easy understanding

Today, I learnt about how to deploy a node js to a server (mentally exhausted but can’t miss my challenge).
The lesson covered the items listed in the image and also allowed me to understand :

Today I learned about different form inputs. I used the form element with a label and an input type="email" with an id and name, so the browser can validate that the user enters a real email address.
