I'm considering doing another 31 days of comedy following my #31DaysofSitcom in May. I've been told a lot that women are not funny, any panel show would tell you that. It's not true so it will be #31DaysofFunnyWomen celebrating writers and/or performers. Any suggestions?
It's the final #sitcom on my #31DaysofSitcom & Day 31. I could not miss this shining star. It's #Fleabag. It is raw, funny & perfect. Just 12 episodes but what a story it weaves. It will be talked about for years to come.

Day 26 of my #31DaysofSitcom and we are going to New Zealand for another fake doc #WellingtonParanormal. Another spin off from the film #WWDITS. The serious face of the police force against the weird & wonderful paranormal crimes. Just an absolutely joy to watch. #comedy
Day 25 of my #31DaysOfSitcom & this was 1 of my highlights last year (some might argue not difficult). It is #TedLasso. I was reluctant at first because I thought it about football. It's not. It's about people and what can happen if you work with each other. Utterly charming
We are at Day 24 of my #31DaysofSitcom. Today it's a #sitcom I watched when I was at school & it's still on today (so about 10 years). It's #RedDwarf. It's weird, wonderful and I hope it's on another 30 years. #comedy
Day 22 of my #31DaysofSitcom and we're back to the US for an amazingly dark, clever and funny show. #Barry is about a hitman who wants to become an actor. Also he may be known as the actor who literally jumped the shark but Henry Winkler also stars, which is a mark of good show.
Welcome to day 21 of my #31DaysofSitcom. Today it's another Ricky Gervais because he's a very clever man. It's #Derek. Is it okay to call a comedy beautiful? This just is. Charming, funny, & heart breaking. "Just be nice, that is the easiest thing, be nice." #comedy
We're on to day 20 of my #31DaysofSitcom & I wasn't sure to include it. It's #TheKominskyMethod. Not because it's not brilliant. It has made me laugh and cry. It's just the final season hasn't aired & could be crap. Fingers crossed for one of the best relationships on TV. #comedy
Day 17 of my #31DaysofSitcom and I think I would have rightly taken criticism if I missed this. It's one of the greatest comedies of all time #Friends. I even talk about it in my new #podcast #ExcusetheJess released today. Is there better binge watch #comedy?
It's Sunday and day 16 of my #31DaysofSitcom. Today it's #Community. Another where they struck gold with the casting & writing. It can be a bit touch feely but also dark& meta. 1 character hints that he knows he's in a sitcom. Who can forget the darkest timeline & we're in it.
Day 15 of my #31DaysofSitcom & it's a comedy that makes me laugh out loud & cry like a baby, it's #AfterLife. Every now & again comes a programme that changes comedy like #TheOffice. @rickygervais has done it again here. He even got Paul and Anne together (one for the oldies)
It's Day 14 of my #31DaysofSitcom and baby I hear the blues are calling. Still, on with this. It's #Frasier. Rightly on many top sitcom lists. It's a masterclass in writing and performing. It also credits the audience with some intelligence. Yes please to a reboot. #comedy
Day 13 & it's a good job I'm not superstitious (but I am a little stitious). It's #TheThickofIt. The precursor to #Veep. Brilliantly funny & cutting. I will love Malcolm Tucker for f**king ever. It wouldn't work today - it's far too gentle for modern politics. #31DaysofSitcom
We've reached day 12 my #31DaysofSitcom and another perfect working class comedy #TheRoyleFamily. Gone are the days of going to someone's house just to watch a different TV. Now we can't go into each other's houses. Caroline Aherne was ridiculously talented and much missed.
The last episode of #Superstore was pretty near perfect. End of an era and new beginnings. Lots of references to pilot episode. I can only give it a 10. Will it make my #31DaysofSitcom though? #comedy #sitcom

It's Day 8 of #31DaysOfSitcom and today it's #Spaced. It felt like a this was made for me being younger than the cast. Tons of popular culture references, funny and different. I love the fact that people are still discovering this and rightly thought of as a classic.
On to day six of my #31DaysofSitcom is an oldie but a goodie and it's #OnlyFoolsAndHorses This was probably the first programme when I thought, this is amazing. How do they do this? Rubbished by trendy comics now but they are wrong. Those iconic moments still are funny
It's day 5 of my #31DaysofSitcom and it's back to the US for #ParksAndRec There is so much good stuff in this programme. Funny, clever and full of charm. Although the characters are good to each other but to the residents of #Pawnee, not so much. Think about it.
