Brekky imbibed! #34togo #IYKYK now I'm off to get ready and go for a walk! Yes! A walk! How far I have come from, say, two weeks ago when every movement was excruciatingly painful! I've had a taste this week of what it's like to not be in #chronic pain and there's bits of me reestablishing themselves too. The me I was without all the illnesses and the pain - she was almost a stranger. It's nice to have her back. I'm praying this recovery continues. Yes, I'll always have to walk with a stick, yes, I have reduced mobilty and there are simple, everyday things I can't do - like opening a can of beans. I need a cleaner to help with some everyday tasks like cleaning the bath because I can't bend without passing out, and changing the bedding is way out of my scope of movement. Every day when I wake up I wait for the pain to return. One day it may, but I'll still be left with the consequences of two strokes. That's life, that's my life and I'm grateful for everything 🙏🏻 even the pain, because it reminds me I'm still alive and days like today, with no pain and the possibility of a walk, well, they're precious. My gift from God 🙏🏻
