Week 7 (111) of #52WeeksofEdD and our writing retreat has finished. A very productive and educational week in so many levels, lots of discussion and food for thought, interspersed with plenty of food and fun activities!
Week 37 (89) of #52WeeksofEdD and even with a little break over the bank holidays I've been able to continue chipping away with more reading, talking and a bit of writing too! Also a crisp 10km walk yesterday helped blow out some of the cobwebs.
Missed week 25 of #52WeeksOfEdD completely🫣 Almost late with week 26 where I really do hope to make some progress with writing 🤞
Week 24 of #52WeeksOfEdD and no progress was made with writing so we’ll call it ‘ongoing’. Commuting is definitely having an impact, especially when it took nearly 2 hours to get home tonight 😫Channelling my inner Ross this week.
Made it to week 22 of #52WeeksOfEdD and I’ve been doing a bit of digging into data to try to make something coherent out of it. I’m not quite there yet though, so that will continue. In moving updates, the boxes are all unpacked (the photo shows the last one) 🥳
On time for week 20 of #52WeeksOfEdD 🥳 I don’t really have much of a plan for uni work though because this is house moving week. Have carefully packed anything I might need to continue thematic analysis so at least I know where it is…for now…🤞
Late posting about week 18 of #52WeeksOfEdD - still analysing data and thankfully had a supervision meeting which helped me focus on next steps. Very thankful for my supervisors 🥰
Week 17 of #52WeeksOfEdD I’m immersed in thematic analysis and marvelling at the incredibly articulate, perceptive young people I interviewed. It’s good to be reminded about why I do what I do.
Week 23 (75) of #52WeeksofEdD, very fruitful conversations across the week helping to fine tune my presentation for tomorrow, with a bit more to do later, but also some sightseeing and culture today in Vienna, and grades for final assignment due soon too 🫣
Week 12 of #52WeeksOfEdD and I’m making progress with the methodology chapter (finally!) so it will continue, but not till the weekend. I’m off to Loch Eil Monday-Fri for Outward Bound so writing will have to wait!
Reached week 11 of #52WeeksOfEdD after a rollercoaster weekend. Completed the Great North Run yesterday which was an amazing experience. Back to reality and back to methodology. Self imposed deadline in 2 weeks 😳
I’m at week 9 of #52WeeksOfEdD and I’ve definitely taken the scenic route with my methodology chapter. It’s not done yet thanks to, well, life, but I have a supervision session which will hopefully give me the supportive kick in the right direction 🤞
Week 19 (71) of #52WeeksofEdD and didn't get as much done as hoped as it's been a busy week in work, but made a start on the final item on the to be written list. Also managed to show a visitor around Wales this weekend
Week 8 of #52WeeksOfEdD sees me working to a deadline for my methodology chapter. I’m surrounded by notes on qualitative research while trying to keep the puppy away from the paper 😂
Week 7 of #52WeeksOfEdD coincides with back to school week. The EdD plan is to continue with methodology and, with only 4 weeks until the Great North Run, the running training plan needs to continue too. Busy times ahead!
Week 17 (69) of #52WeeksofEdD and it's been a busy one, some really constructive pointers this week from supervisors on methodology, so proposal V2 coming along... also did another long (15.5 miles) walk to clear the head
Almost at the end of week 6 of #52WeeksOfEdD and I'm just getting round to posting 🙄 Still working on my methodology chapter but have now set myself a deadline to keep on track. Keep tripping up on the tense I use so some editing to be done!
Week 5 of my self-imposed #52WeeksOfEdD and I had a very helpful supervision session last week which means it’s more methodology writing this week. In between reading/writing there has been lots of madness thanks to the puppy and lots of running (me and my bright ideas 😫).
Week 4 of my #52WeeksOfEdD and it’s still methodology work but hopefully a supervision session will help clarify what I’m doing 🤞There’s so much written about how you might be conducting your research 🤯
Week 14 (66) of #52WeeksofEdD and it's been a busy one with our postgrad research conference - very productive conversations and lots untangled, at around 1000 words on the page for the assignment, Pen y Fan this morning and now lunch (with a peruse after) @Bookishcrick
