#150KMChallenge #5KADay #healthyu
Day 31 of year 6 of #5KaDay. Iβm lucky to live in the most walkable city in Kansas.
By the numbers:
145.7 Total miles
98.9 dedicated walking miles (according to Strava)
The challenge is keeping things going through the school year.
Day 30 of #5KaDay was a big one. New Quick Trip in Emporia, progress on the new turf at Welch Stadium and watching Spiderman.
Day 29 of #5KaDay is another #notinarow day. Sometimes I wish I was a morning person so I could get it done but there is something to be walking late that helps clear my brain.
Day 28 of #5KaDay Thanks for the inspiration from everyone today as we get ready to close out the month.
We are less than a week from the start of football training camp so things are starting to pick up during the day with media days and photo shoots.
Day 26 of #5KaDay and the start of the final week. Sometimes the hardest step is the one out the door to get started.
Day 25 of #5KaDay. Started the day at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony for former Hornet DeAngelo Evans who was inducted and recognition of future Hornet Carter Hajek. Then waited til the heat index went below 110 for my walk. Have I said that I love hot weather?
Day 24 of #5KaDay was #Notinarow MIAA football media day is Monday so I stayed late at work to finish some stuff after getting pics of new field at Welch Stadium, then I waited out the Aftershocks game in the TBT to see if @genecassell would have double duty Monday.
Day 23 of #5KaDay. I started too late to help the Royals but a good Kansas sunset is a decent way to end the day.
Day 20 of #5KaDay done in Lawrence for Jackβs orientation tomorrow. Had to guess on a route around the hotel, but if Neil Armstrong can walk on the moon 57 years ago tonight I can do a new walk.
Day 19 of #5KaDay Went a little longer tonight. I like walking in the evening, itβs warm to get started and as your body starts heating up the temperature starts going down.
Day 18 of #5KaDay done during the middle of the afternoon. I feel so much better walking in the heat than the cold.
Day 17 of #5KaDay was done late. Left after BWJ struck out to end the 7th. Got home just as Carter Jensen walked it off in the 10th. Royals 1-0 after All Star Game.
Midway thru #5KaDay. Glad I have a park nearby to walk thru for some green time and occasionally catch a glimpse of a critter.
Day 13 of #5KaDay got done at 11:07 pm after returning from Chicago for Jackβs ROTC NSI graduation. Incredibly proud of him.
12.5 hours behind the wheel & 3 hours at the graduation made it a little difficult to get 5k in but if he could survive 19 days I could take a walk.
Day 12 of #5KaDay was again #NotInaRow. Took a walk in the morning and another tonight on either side of driving around scoping out where to go tomorrow for Jackβs ROTC NSI graduation and picking his mom up from Midway.
