Nevada has 1,500 hygienists for 3.2M people (half the national average), w/ just 30 annu. grads from Nevada’s hygiene training programs. @HeidiKasama4nv’s #AB334 makes it easier for hygienists wanting to move/work in Nevada to get licensed. For healthier smiles, we presented this bill to the @NevadaSenate C&L today. Every county in Nevada is designated a Dental Care Shortage Area, with 71% of Nevadans lacking adequate dental care and routine teeth cleanings delayed. I don’t know if I believe it’s renters from other states moving here and driving up rent prices. Seems like it’s more to do with vulture investors from other states (and sometimes other countries) cash buying Nevada homes and properties #nvleg #AB334
