Housing inequality, worsened by #COVID19, disproportionately impacts the Black community due to centuries of discriminatory policies. @CalMatters cites @Muhammad_Speaks in the case for expanding #homeowner aid w/ a #racialequity lens. We need #AB946 now! https://t.co/6pUMR2D54h

@aceckhouse @ArmandDoma @Bobakkabob37 @DavidChiu This year #AB946 was written so that the money would go into a fund for first time homebuyers, so that there'd be more people to sell houses to. Would love to know just what it will take for @CAREALTORS to drop opposition

#AB946 would end the mortgage interest deduction on second homes, which overwhelmingly benefits people with high incomes Learn from from @kaylakitson recent thread on this https://t.co/J17dnl5KXv #EmpowerCA

#AB946 Closes loophole for 2nd homes, funds to assist first-time homebuyers. Currently people get a tax deduction on second home mortgages, whether it's a vacation home or a property they rent out. https://t.co/MIZ07jUN87

This is the result of RACIST housing policy. Stories like these are a good reminder that we need to systemic approach to addressing California's housing crisis. Legislators should support #AB946 to bolster homeownership amongst people of color. https://t.co/xX74Wy2iy5

@VoteAlexLee2020 introduced #AB946 to end a tax break for those fortunate enough to own a second home. “This change would make it possible for approximately 23,000 families to become first-time homebuyers” https://t.co/goTkZ1G74k

Closing tax loopholes to bolster first-time homeowner programs is a great way to invest in communities & help ppl build wealth in the wake of #COVID19. Proud to co-sponsor #AB946 w/ @cayimby & CA Community Builders. Thank you @VoteAlexLee2020 for your leadership on this issue.
