On 24.06.2025, Manipur Police arrested three active cadres of UNLF(P) from Babupara, Imphal West who were involved in extortion and threatening govt employees to gain contract works: i. Konthoujam Opendro Singh (46) @ Ibomcha of Mongsangei Awang Leikai, Imphal West district, ii. Tokpam Tomcha Singh (55) of Wangkhei Tokpam Leikai, Imphal East district, iii. Keithellakpam Saratchandra Mangang (53) of Khurai Soibam Leikai Ahongei Leirak, Imphal East district. The following were recovered from the arrested persons: i.02 (two) nos. of 9 mm pistol along with 02 (two) magazines, ii.08 (eight) nos. of 9 mm ammunition, iii.01 (one) no. of .32 pistol along with 01 (one) magazine loaded with 04 (four) rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition, iv.04 (four) nos. of mobile handsets, v.01 (one) no. of brown wallet, vi.A sum of Rs. 3,800/-, vii.02 (two) nos. of Aadhaar cards, viii.01 (one) no. of black side bag and ix.01 (one) no. of TVS NTORQ scooter red and black in colour along with its key.
