Sacramento Democrats once again failed to protect Californians against fentanyl. They rejected @asmrepublicans’ efforts to pass #aca12. We must do better. Too many lives have been destroyed.

Meanwhile the Supermajority just voted down #ACA12 to give voters a chance to hold fentanyl dealers accountable. Efforts to educate Californians is important, but we also must stop the flow of deadly fentanyl into our communities. That won’t happen without real consequences.
Families who have lost loved ones to fentanyl launch ballot initiative process. CA voters could decide:
1) Sentencing fentanyl dealers whose drug results in death to 10-12 yrs in prison.
2) Court warns convicted dealers if they do it again, they could face murder charges.
Today, @AsmRepublicans will force a vote on the Assembly Floor to hold fentanyl dealers accountable.
#ACA12 would ask voters if fentanyl dealers should be fully aware of the consequences of selling the deadly drug and held accountable. This shouldn't be controversial.

Those who knowingly sell fentanyl that kills people should be subject to a murder charge. It’s poison that we need to get off of our streets.
