SNAPDEAL has snapped a lot of backs today. ACEVECTOR IPO. So in main board too such massive 22% listing day loss?
Rs.32 Ipo. Rs.24.9 currently
As in screenshot below investors took good allotment and then added much more in the morning only to find the sand slipping below the feet.
🚨 Why did Snapdeal’s parent crash 12% on listing day?
₹32 IPO → ₹28.32 (-11.5%) 📉
Revenue grew, but FY26 still had a ₹45.5 Cr loss and weak cash flow.
The market wants profits, not just growth.

Let's be practical about GMP.
I'm NOT against GMP. Blockbuster GMP IPOs (Rs 80-100+ GMP) almost always give good listing gains. It's OK to apply there ONLY for listing gain.
But you have to differentiate:
CASE 1 - High GMP + Hype = Apply for LISTING GAIN ONLY. Exit on listing day. Don't fall in love with the stock.
CASE 2 - Low GMP + Bad Business = AVOID completely.
CASE 3:-Low GMP+Ok business(May become Dark horse)
(Examples manipal hospital,lohia corp etc)
AceVector was CASE 2.
GMP was just Rs 1 (3% expected gain), 133cr was OFS [Softbank & others exiting],
Today it listed at 11.5% DISCOUNT - Rs 32 to Rs 28.3. Har lot pe Rs 1700+ ka loss.
Lesson for retailers: High GMP = listing play is OK. Low GMP + weak fundamentals = Don't let finfluencers trap you in name of "long term".

Some interesting details I found out about this company.
This company have three business division
1)Snapdeal:-It was a major rival to Amazon and Flipkart few years ago.However the market changed and it couldn't compete with those giants
Now they mostly sell unbranded clothes,shoes and home goods usually priced under 600rs
2)Unicommerce (the logistics helper software)
This company sell software (saas)
to other e commerce companies (like nykaa, myntra and jack& jones)
to help them run their backend operations
*Interestingly this is the only division that making money for them and unicommerce is already listed on the market*
They are using unicommerce to promote this ipo
3)Stellaro brand(the inhouse brand):-This is the smaller part of their business where they sell value focused brands like casual clothing or home styling
Financial breakdown of each division
1)snapdeal:-
Revenue:-293 cr(57% of total)
Losing money:-Recorded a loss of 50 cr
2) unicommerce
Revenue:-204 cr(40% of total)
Highly profitable:-earned a profit of 41 crore
3)Stellaro brand:-12 cr(3% of total)
Profitability is very low because still it is in early stage
NOTE:-ACEVECTOR is counted the revenue of unicommerce as it's own because they hold 26.13% stake in it
You may be wondering where did the money go which they raised during unicommerce ipo?
Right i have the same question but when I read about it I found out that
"The unicommerce ipo was 100% ofs ipo".The entire 276 cr raised went directly into the pockets of early investors who sold their shares.acevector itself offloaded 95 lakh shares to sustain the operation of snapdeal.
Because snapdeal is locked in a brutal budget shopping war with meesho,it is burning cash,if you look at the acevector prospectus ,they have stated that where the 287 cr will go
*132 cr will go into marketing of snapdeal again
*50 cr for cloud and digital upgradation
The fact is even after doing this snapdeal can't compete with meesho in price war because of the financial backing the meesho have
Meesho has raised over 1.4$ billion in funding. It has backers like softbank,sequoia capital,meta & other global funds
Snapdeal is also backed by softbank however unlike meesho,softbank stopped putting new money into snapdeal years ago. In this acevector ipo,softbank is actually the biggest seller offloading 2.76 cr shares

Initial money put in:-6500 cr
Current total value:-400-450 cr
(Combined value of ipo sale+leftover stake)
Net final effect:-net loss of 6000 cr
2)meesho
Initial money put in:-2500 cr

Net final effect:-net profit of + 5700 cr
