Harsher punishments for SOP violations e.g. during Johor election campaigning, means supporting amendments to #Act342 to increase compounds, penalties. A law that is harsh on politicians will also be harsh on ordinary people. If you can accept that, then support the Bill. 1/n

The fact is that #Act342 DOES need to be updated & future-proofed as part of disease outbreak preparedness & resilience. There are parts in that law needing to be upgraded to provide health authorities with means & tools to do their job to prevent, manage & end outbreaks. 1/n
