@ben_golub I have just attended the #AFEPIIPPE2019 conference in Lille (also sponsored by the Association for Heterodox Economics @Hetecon and several other learned societies). 750 left-leaning economists from around the world were there. None supported neo-classical economics in any form.

Maybe the toughest challenge to macro as we do it.
By doing so, the mainstream manages to present the Great Depression as the result of one giant avoidable policy mistake. As deeper perspectives have been excluded (Minsky, Marx, non-bastard Keynes), economic historians have become locked in an "intellectual cage." #afepiippe2019
She points to mainstream "lessons" from the Great Depression as an example. The mainstream has constructed a history that doesn't go beyond the monetary surface to understand the economic dynamics that underpinned the crisis... #afepiippe2019
