I just noticed Twitch isn't showing tags under people's streams anymore. ๐ Is this because people were using the #AIOptedOut or similar tags to let viewers know their channels were safe?
Also with the changes to their privacy TOS, it really looks like opting out is purely cosmetic and nothing really changes.
I'm at my wits end. Even though they publicly stated they allow multichat on streams now, in their TOS it still states you can't, and if they easily updated it for this AI bullshit they could have updated it for multichat. It's more like it's still there if they want to flag someone for it they could be like, "Well, it's in the rules!"
Are there other streaming services where viewers can interact with the streams like they do with Twitch rewards? That's the biggest thing I'd be missing if I went anywhere else.
I know I was just a small streamer, but it's something I want to keep doing. I really love sharing games with people and talking to others with similar interests. Growing up in the 80s and loving games as much as I do, well... I was ostracized and called a faker. Girls didn't do that. But I did, and I never lost my love of games.
I want to keep sharing, but I have no idea where I'm supposed to anymore. I can't afford to stream to all the platforms, with bandwidth or money for services that let you so that. I don't really make anything off streaming. I have no idea what I should be doing anymore.
There has been a lot of discussion about Twitch over the last couple of days.
Our accounts will not be used to train AI.
