We all remember how several nations experienced shortage of beds and other health infra during Covid pandemic.
KCR, the then Chief Minister of Telangana wanted to prevent such a scenario in future and immediately took up massive expansion of healthcare facilities in the state.
- A massive 2400 beds super specialty hospital in Warangal
- 3 Super Specialty 1000 Beds TIMS hospitals in Hyderabad (Sanathnagar, Alwal, LB Nagar)
- Mahabubnagar Govt Super Specialty Hospital - 1000 Beds
- 2000 Beds NIMS Dasabdi Block.
However, after Revanth took over, the construction of these hospitals is moving at snails pace.
At the same time, Medicover Hospitals, a private super specialty hospitals group controlled by his family has grown by leaps and bounds, and is recently valued at Rs 13,500 Crores.
No wonder Revanth Reddy doesnt want these 6 Government Super Specialty Hospitals, with a total bed capacity of 8400, to be launched any time soon.
