We've been asking @MrUdomEmmanuel to sign the #AKYDFBill to create opportunities and employment for Akwa Ibom youths, he's not done it. Instead, there's an "Honorarium list" of 73 youths. What are they paid for exactly? What offices do they occupy?
We cannot grow like this.
The AKYDF bill offers a broad template for harnessing and actualizing the economic potentials of youths in Akwa Ibom state.

All we ask is an accountable and corrupt free Police Force in Nigeria which views youths as people with hopes and dreams, with aspirations and accomplishments. Their dreams are valid and should not be cut off by a trigger happy cop

One way Akwa Ibom State government can help to drive the human capital investment in Uyo (Akwa Ibom State) is via Gov. @MrUdomEmmanuel assenting the #AKYDFbill which @YAFng led Youth CSOs coalition successfully conceived & got AKHA to pass it to law in 2019. @aksgovt
I know an international development practitioner who once referred Uyo (in Akwa Ibom State) as a cosmetic city.
IOW, you got a shiny city with infrastructures but no real human capital activities like businesses and industries to support it.
Human capital drives development.
