Lt. Gen Hakizimana alias Amikwe Lepic, Adonia, Poet, who was the Commissioner in charge of FDLR operations was shot dead in the ongoing clashes launched by FARDC FDLR Wazalendo against the M23.
Hakizimana, born in Mukamira (municipality of Karago) in Gisenyi prefecture (now Nyabihu) in 1964, was shot dead while fighting alongside @FARDC_Info in Masisi.
Hakizimana long carier includes being the head of the genocidal group ALIR, which morphed into the FDLR after it was listed as Terrorist group, where he was in charge of intelligence. He had commanded ALIR when they slaughtered American tourists after abducting them from neighboring Bwindi Gorilla Park…
Like his colleagues in the leadership of the FDLR, he had been sanctioned by the international community, accused of having participated in the planning of the murder of the Congolese and other threats against the security of eastern DRC in general.
He just found his end during the latest attacks, Tshisekedi’s desperate attempts to win at least one battle against M23.
