All my socks have holes in,
all my clothes are torn.
I'm tired and I'm folding,
I'm weary and forlorn.
I don't care much for drinking,
unless to get blind drunk.
I'm lost at sea, and sinking,
and soon I will be sunk.
My soles are letting go their shoes.
My soul is drowned in tears.
My spirit's are all downed and bruised,
and bound up tight in fears.
The easiest solution,
for getting out of here,
is flying to the stars and moon,
so the heavens can be near.
All my dreams are fading,
all my desires are lost,
I'm down and contemplating,
of my existence, and its cost.
Faith is all I have left,
and in God my hopes all rest,
but I'm adrift and feel bereft,
and in turmoil, I confess.
So Lord please hear my calling,
please send to me a way,
that I may stop from falling,
and live a bright new day.
I plead please hold me tightly,
and take me in Your arms,
and instead of dark, day and night,
in light, please let me warm.
Dear Lord, I am Your flower,
I am Your winter rose.
And in my needy hour,
please dress me in Your clothes.
And let my socks with holes in,
please not forget my feet,
so when I'm upwards soaring,
they'll help others, to You, reach.
And in my brand new garments,
all raiment bright in glory,
let my brand new calming,
not forgot its once sad story.
And when my petals open,
and before they learn to fade,
let beauty be their token,
so they may shine Your way.
And now that I am closing,
this love song, just for You,
I thank You for Your choosing me,
and letting me pull through.
And now I give my being,
my body, mind, and soul,
for You, my Lord, my seeing,
who put a hole within my sole!
