This might actually be the BEST example. We shout at them to lead, complain when they don't, and hope for the best each year; but the best of the best teach every single person the program's leadership model, expectations, & norms. Then, we hold each other accountable! #ARETAS

@CoachDBartel Like when we name kids as captain and just expect them to know how to lead. I learned from Coach Taylor at Skyline to spend time developing leaders instead of waiting for them to step up.

Nothing quite like watching coaches do the intentional & purposeful work of designing program culture to meet legitimate needs of athletes. Love that I got a front row seat to watch 50 coaches from multiple sports serve the work yesterday! I’m excited to see what’s next! #ARETAS
