It's not surprising to hear employers talking about the need for more flexible placement models - especially in the #COVID19 context. I very much agree - in order to realise the benefits of placement for HE, students and employers. #ASETConnect

#ASETConnect - asking our employer panel "what can we (HE) do to support you (organisations)?" One reflection from @TerryReddington is that HEPS are in a really good position to help - collaboration, learning from others e.g. those who are already really used to working remotely

#ASETConnect - what can we (HE) do to help you (employers). One response is to support students in getting to grips with online virtual team platforms - being able to understand how to get the best out of those will save the employer time.

Ah, that term "the new normal" has just appeared on #ASETConnect. I must say, I prefer to call it the "temporary abnormal", partly because that's more endurable and I feel respects the strain many feel, and partly because a new normal absolutely will emerge, but is yet to come.
