@JessLRager @ATEJ_NATA @AshleyATC Perhaps assist with developing potential coping mechanisms. Also, I had a state-certified mediator discuss conflict resolution with our MSAT students last year. Seemed to help them consider what challenges they may face and how to diffuse them. #ATEJchat

@TGBowmanATC @AshleyATC It seems that preceptors are a huge part of reducing burnout, although many of them are personally experiencing it. Seems like we programs could help both by providing resources. #atejchat
@AshleyATC @ATEJ_NATA Selecting preceptors and matching students with preceptors carefully is critical. If preceptors model work-life balance, I think it sets students up for success. Proper onboarding and appropriate expectations from employers are also critical to reducing burnout. #ATEJchat
@dpcashman @OKStateMAT @ATEJ_NATA Preach quality over quantity but if you're not there, you can't see it. With the new standards, students will only be able to complete 1 online class while engaged in immersive experiences. Hopefully, that will reduce burnout by minimizing competition for time. #ATEJchat
@ATEJ_NATA @OKStateMAT I think it depends on the connection students have with their preceptor. I can't stress the importance of this enough.
However, it's important to have others outside of AT.
Luckily, we have multiple ways of communicating now (FaceTime, Google Meet, text, etc.). #ATEJchat
@EmilyMadrak We also need to realize that life as an AT student is a rollercoaster. There are ups & downs, busy times and really busy times. Provide support when they need it, tough love when they need it. #ATEJchat
