Why, oh why, is there not a single authoritative place to find “registered” funeral instructions, funeral plans and wills as there is for LPAs. Such a worry for #AWOCs that they may plan impeccably and then their plans not be found!

If you’re not sure if there is an LPA in place, ask the donor or attorney first and see if you can use the ‘View an LPA service’. If this isn’t possible, you can request to search the OPG registers.

Research has found that the supply of care home beds in the UK has risen just 2.9%, while the over-65 population has grown 20.7%. We need to change the way health and social care are delivered to ensure that the needs of older people, the largest user group, are met.

Whenever I see phrases like “with the right support” and “not right for everyone”, it triggers my fears that #HospitalAtHome will exclude #AWOCs - reassurance needed please!
Here’s some things I love about #HospitalAtHome for people with frailty and acute illness: 1. Patients love it. 2. Patients love it. 3. Patients love it. For the right person with the right support, treatment at home works. It’s not right for everyone. But for many, it’s great.
Do hope you will look at end of life care for #AWOCs. Needs more specific research for starters, we suspect.
