Introducing the Axie Governance Portal Today marks the birthday of Axie Governance and the Axie Score. A day many years in the making. We are excited to invite all community members to cast an inaugural vote within the alpha Axie Governance Portal to approve a key upgrade that will enable more robust delegation of Axie assets. We are using this upgrade as a way to introduce the community to two new long-awaited components of Axie governance: the Axie Score and the Axie Governance Portal. The Axie Score and the Portal are both very early prototypes, and will be improved through ongoing feedback and engagement from our community. Please participate in this process going forward! There's something on the horizon that we've been looking forward to for over 3 years now. The first AXS + Axie score powered vote in Lunacia is coming. Will take place on 5/20 if everything goes according to plan with the voting portal deployed on 5/17. The Town builders have appointed an Axie score committee that has been working on a first version of the Axie Score alongside Sky Mavis. The contributors have also elected a smart contract upgrade committee which have worked on the recommendation. This process has been enabled by the governance progress that the contributor program has made in the past years. The Axie score is a voting power modifier that acts as a modifier to one's AXS position during votes. In the future, it may also act as a rewards modifier as laid out in the AXS whitepaper. The upcoming vote will focus on upgrading the Axie and Land smart contracts to be compatible with ERC 721 x + to be upgradeable in the future. If the vote passes, the Axie community will ask the Ronin validators to upgrade the Ronin chain so that: • Axie and Land contracts are compatible with Owl's ERC 721x standard • Axie and Land contracts are upgradeable in the future without requiring a full chain fork.
