Learning new stuff daily. I'm on my 3rd released CNFT collection. #AcidToonz, #TheOkaysionals 4/20, and the #DedHedz. I have learned unless you have a massive following you probably wont sell out even giving the shit away. I have given away most of everything created so far, which is cool and part of doing business here.
The next collection #DeGenerationZ is only 69 pieces total with no royalties, and will be sold for 220 $ADA each. There will be no giveaways of this collection at mint time until sell out. This one makes me profit or it goes nowhere this time. I love you guys, but I am tired of giving everything away, its time to get support from the community with this one.
I have the #DedHedz available, minting now for only 6 $ADA each. Its a collection of 130. Takes less then the cost of 2 Tappy's to buyout the entire collection, and it still sits dormant. Its time to re-evaluate why I spend any time creating here, I made so much more staying in the shadows buying, and selling NFTs. This want to be part of the #CardanoCommunity is ruinous to my wallets lol.
If you can't tell by my posts I always support decentralized or as decentralized as possible projects. The only reason I released #AcidToonz and #TheOkaysionals with royalties was to use those royalties to give back to AcidToonz buyers/holders via lottery styled drawing. I have posted these plans all along the way. They (AcidToonz) will probably not make it, which sucks, but have only had the mintings that I have done. It's all good you win some you lose some.
#DedHedz are doing okay, and have a shot, though the policy locks on the first of next month so it may be shy a few mints. I will keep pushing to get it completed anyway it only has 94 left to mint. I should have left the policy lock open a bit longer, but it's still manageable. I will not release any projects with royalties that don't directly go back to you buyers and sellers somehow.
I don't think royalties belong here, they are not decentralization. I look at it as if you're buying and taking ownership of my art. If you're to buy an art piece that hangs on your wall, do you have to give the artist money if you decide to sell it at auction? Have a garage sale and put it out, you gotta give the artist money on that? Makes no sense here either. Obviously if you auction an artwork via an auction house or anything there will be a commission. The artist isn't there expecting a piece of the action though.
On top of this I stake no claim to bought works, you're absolutely welcome to use and reproduce anything you purchase from me as you like. This includes for commercial use. I know I am abrasive with some of my takes on things, I just like protecting people at the same time. I mean well, and am always here if anyone ever wants to chat or call me on my takes. I am human and I make mistakes, I have had my eyes opened here a couple times now, so I'm not saying I am a definitive source of info either.
