His Mum struggles to get him to move, he hates PE and loves his Xbox… but he has developed a love for lifting. A great choice of activity for him, it’s not just for the sporty kids. #getthemstrong #activestrength
Love this video ❤️ Very poignant quote.. ‘safe space’, ‘we all support each other’… so important to have an encouraging environment to foster continued participation in a key mode of physical activity. #activestrength
#DiscoverStrength | Following on from the research, we have developed the Active Strength programme for children aged from 8-16! Already taking part, here is what Clara had to say and some of the children in action @dundeeuni

Do you deliver strength training to kids who aren’t sporty? If so, what’s their favourite exercise? 🤔 for the #activestrength kids I’d say it’s a toss up between a deadlift and hanging off monkey bars... nothing fancy! #strongkids #healthykids
@JeremyFrisch @DrTommyJohnDC Our #activestrength kids love hanging 🙈 it’s always the best challenge at the end of a session!
Just had my first podcast experience talking about resistance training and inactive youths. Thank you to @David_synapse for making the process enjoyable! You’ll be able to hear me at the start of June. #activestrength #research #phd

Fantastic #activestrength focus group quote...
“it gave me the confidence to try some new sports and even to try new things at school that weren’t physical... it’s helped my confidence in general.”
If #strengthtraining can have this impact, then it’s awesome! 💪🏻😊
