This Christmas morning, our final #AdventWindow for 2024 can be found at the redundant Grade ll* listed church of #StLeonardAtTheHythe here in #Colchester, #BritainsFirstCity.
You'll find this six panel, curved stained glass #AdventWindow over the door of the After Office Hours pub/cocktail bar (originally The Lamb and later the Bay & Say and Faunus & Firkin) on #Colchester High Street.
The building is Grade ll listed.

This rather distinctive 'half moon' window is today's #AdventWindow offering from #Colchester, #BritainsFirstCity.
It can be found on the front of the locally listed former Electric Theatre on St John's Street .

You'll find this bay window, our latest #AdventWindow from #Colchester, #BrtainsFirstCity, at what is now Superdrug, 22, High Street.
The current building is late C18th and is Grade ll listed. Of particular note are the two gas lamp fittings under the window.
For today's #AdventWindow we bring you this 'eye-piece' window on the front of the Grade 1 listed,East Lodge and Gate House at 83-4 High Street.
The C16 and C17 building was built for William and Susan Boyes. William was a baymaker and mayor.

You'll find today's 'Venetian' #AdventWindow on the front of the Grade ll* listed house at 60 North Hill, here in #Colchester, #BritainsFirstCity.
The original building dates from 1650, the front block however was rebuilt in the mid 18th century.

You'll find today's #Colchester #AdventWindow on Head Street. The premises used to be the Gas Showrooms and Luckin-Smiths who were purveyors of Hardware, China & Glass.
The frontage - with its splendid hanging lanterns - sadly now no longer looks quite as it once did...
Today's #AdventWindow can be found on the front of the former "Beer House" (ex Bakers Arms pub at 126 Magdalen Street. The premises were first recorded as a Beer House in 1832 & closed as a pub in 2012.
What an unusual mix of shapes and designs - it's even got stained glass...
This splendid C18th-C19th "oriel" #AdventWindow can be found on the front of the former Durston House, now @Attwells Solicitors at 18 North Hill here in #Colchester.
It certainly looks festive!
The building dates from the 16th Century and is Grade ll listed.

Our #AdventWindow today comes from the "orphaned" 125 foot spire of the former Lion Walk Congregational Church.
The Grade ll listed church was built in 1863 by Frederick Barnes of Ipswich and was demolished, apart from the spire, in 1984.
