This week we hosted the #AfriHackAI Hackathon with the aim of solving challenges in #education, #agriculture, #governance, #healthcare and #fintech. With over 50 participants across #Africa, the hackathon pushed boundaries as students used AI to build practical, ground-up solutions. The event that was part of Africa’s AI Literacy Week, was held in partnership with @HuaweiKenya and @konzatech. The winning team developed an #AI-powered platform to predict market prices for agricultural products, helping #farmers, #traders, and financial institutions make informed decisions. Beyond #tech, the hackathon fostered #mentorship, collaboration, and critical thinking, empowering youth to tackle African changes with African-led innovation. “Africa cannot afford to be left behind, as AI transforms industries and societies.
