@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM A5 Age, 16+ that is post secondary school. As far as class, focus should be the low-income/underserved communities. This is where the bulk of the unskilled (digital) population resides and so we have to be intentional about that #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM A4, we are able to do this because we've been able to secure the right partnerships to help us develop content in local dialect, distribute the solution across the country through Airtel Nigeria & device financing to help people access devices at a reasonable cost #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM A4 has to be a key factor. Similar to the online learning phenomenon in India, we need to be able to train people at a very large scale. Again this is specifically why my company created @comeLearnAM and our goal is to able to scale skills training to 100m Africans #AfricaEdChat

What's really lacking is the "rails" that can help available solutions scale. Because of the size of the problem, online skills training #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM A3 As I mentioned in my previous response, DIGITAL SKILLS! I like to focus on that because that's the driver. You need digital skills to be relevant (participate) in the Digital economy. And this cuts across different industries and workstreams. #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM A key part of the skills needed for the New Digital Economy is Digital Literacy! Most jobs would require some sort of technology to execute basic functions in the near future. Unfortunately we are lacking as a continent where Internet penetration is only at 24% #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM This is solely because, in a competitive "new world" that we live in, we need talent that can "deliver" as fast a possible, of course with the adequate guidance and training needed. Skill is prioritized because of competency. There's a need to "see" it #AfricaEdChat

@Edugist_NG If you look at organizations like Google and or big Tech's, they waved the bachelors degree requirement and focus totally on skills. Even with my own organization @scholarxEdu @comeLearnAM we are very deliberate about prioritizing skills over credentials #AfricaEdChat
