🚨🇮🇳 BIPIN RAWAT, #AGNIPATH & THE CONSPIRACY THEORY: WHAT DOES THE EVIDENCE SAY?
🇮🇳🔥 बिपिन रावत, #अग्निपथ और साजिश की थ्योरी: सबूत क्या कहते हैं?
A conspiracy theory claims Gen. Bipin Rawat was killed because he opposed #Agnipath.
The reality is more complicated.
In 2020, Rawat questioned the financial viability of the proposed “Tour of Duty” model: if a soldier needs around a year of training and equipment, does it make sense to lose that trained person after only a few years?
ThePrint later reported that Rawat initially opposed the proposal, while the Army Chief supported it. But the proposal evolved.
By 2022, after extensive military deliberations, the government introduced Agnipath: four-year service for #Agniveers, with a portion eligible for retention.
So:
❌ “Rawat was completely against Agnipath” — misleading.
✅ “Rawat had serious reservations about the early Tour of Duty proposal” — supported by contemporary reporting.
A crucial fact:
Rawat died on December 8, 2021.
Agnipath was announced in June 2022 — six months later.
The conspiracy argues he was eliminated before the scheme could be implemented.
But where is the evidence?
The Tri-Services Court of Inquiry investigated the Mi-17V5 crash using flight-data and cockpit-voice recorder evidence. It attributed the crash to an unexpected weather change, pilot disorientation and controlled flight into terrain, ruling out mechanical failure, sabotage and negligence.
A later Parliamentary defence committee classified the cause as “Human Error (Aircrew).”
⚠️ No credible evidence has emerged linking Agnipath, Tour of Duty or a policy dispute to Rawat’s death.
But one legitimate question remains:
How much did the final Agnipath scheme resemble Rawat’s original Tour of Duty concept — and how much changed after his death?
That is a legitimate policy/history question.
An assassination claim requires evidence.
So far, the evidence supports policy evolution — not a proven conspiracy.

हकीकत ज्यादा जटिल है।
2020 में रावत ने “Tour of Duty” (सीमित अवधि की सैन्य सेवा) मॉडल की आर्थिक व्यवहार्यता पर सवाल उठाए थे। उनकी चिंता थी कि करीब एक साल ट्रेनिंग (प्रशिक्षण) और उपकरण देने के बाद कुछ ही वर्षों में प्रशिक्षित सैनिक को खो देना कितना उचित होगा।
ThePrint ने बाद में बताया कि रावत शुरुआती प्रस्ताव के विरोध में थे, जबकि Army Chief (सेना प्रमुख) इसके पक्ष में थे। प्रस्ताव बाद में बदला।
2022 में सरकार ने Agnipath (अग्निपथ) लागू किया — 4 साल की सेवा और सीमित स्थायी भर्ती के प्रावधान के साथ।

लेकिन साजिश का सबूत कहां है?
Tri-Services Court of Inquiry (तीनों सेनाओं की संयुक्त जांच समिति) ने Mi-17V5 हादसे की जांच कर अचानक मौसम बदलने, pilot disorientation (स्थानिक दिशाभ्रम) और terrain से टकराने को कारण बताया। Mechanical failure (यांत्रिक खराबी), sabotage (तोड़फोड़) और negligence (लापरवाही) को खारिज किया गया।
बाद की Parliamentary Defence Committee (संसदीय रक्षा समिति) ने कारण को “Human Error (Aircrew)” — “मानवीय त्रुटि (वायुसेना चालक दल)” बताया।
⚠️ आज तक कोई विश्वसनीय सबूत नहीं मिला कि Agnipath (अग्निपथ), Tour of Duty (सीमित अवधि की सैन्य सेवा) या किसी नीति विवाद के कारण रावत की मौत हुई।
लेकिन सवाल वैध है:
रावत के मूल Tour of Duty (सीमित अवधि की सैन्य सेवा) विचार और 2022 के अंतिम Agnipath (अग्निपथ) मॉडल में कितना बदलाव आया?
यह वास्तविक नीति और इतिहास का सवाल है।
हत्या की थ्योरी के लिए सबूत चाहिए।
फिलहाल उपलब्ध सबूत policy evolution (नीति के क्रमिक विकास) दिखाते हैं — साबित साजिश नहीं।
