Polling finds that most Canadians say they support legalised euthanasia, also known as MAiD (medical assistance in dying). But that support may be hollowβother data shows that Canadians do not actually know what constitutes MAiD, or who qualifies for it. What most Canadians support, in fact, is MAiD for exceptional or last-resort cases, criteria that are much narrower than current law. Cardus health program director @RebeccaGVachon explains more.

People vehemently believe that there are safety nets in place if you become disabled. That no matter what, you have all of your needs met. If you believe this, youβre in for a rude awakening if you ever become disabled.

Noticing no one outside the disabled community has mentioned the UN calling on Canada to repeal MAID Track 2 due to violating disabled rights.
